As the human race becomes more and more advanced, we are becoming more aware of the negative effects we have on the environment around us. Moving forward is proving to be a double edged sword. While we all want to see new technologies and processes being used to make our own lives more convenient, we have to make sure that we do so without disrupting the environment around us. Since there are many groups of people that either do not have the same regard for environmental issues or are simply unaware of the effect they are having, environmental law is doing its part in keeping these groups in check.

What many people do not understand is that environmental law has to come from us, the citizens. If we see something that we believe to be unjust or harmful to our duty to let people know about it so that an environmental law can be put into place.
